Proved wills are public records and anyone is entitled to obtain copies of them

Civil Registration Records

All births, deaths and marriages in England and Wales since 1 July 1837 should have been registered with the local registrar. Indexes to these records used to be called the St Catherine's House Index and can often be seen on microfilm at local libraries. The "All" links opposite are data extracted from this index
