NOTES
Extract from the Program of the "Ward Reunion" of 2 & 3 August 1986
Moulding, Charles - one of the strong, self-made men of Kane County, is a native of Warrington, Lancashire, England. Charles lived at home with his parents, attending school and working on the farm until 1865 when he went to Chicago and engaged in teaming. Here he married Anna Irving, a native of Chicago, daughter of Henry and Isabella (Rome) Irving. Mr & Mrs Moulding were born ten children as follows - Ettie, Charles, Anna, George, Frank, Daisy, Maude, Jay, Walter and Earl. After living three years in Chicago, Mr Moulding went to Butler County, Iowa, where he engaged in farming. After some years spent in that State he moved again, this time settling on the old homestead in Campton Township, Kane County. The farm is well stocked with graded cattle. Mr & Mrs Moulding attended Methodist Episcopal Church. (Note that this passage mentions Henry Irving, whereas it should be William Irving. Just shows how easy it is to get two different stories).
